Where were you when the Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 2004? Were you at a friend’s house doing the same old same old? Were you in a sports bar getting ready to drown your sorrows as you watched your favorite team go head to head with the Cardinals? Were you sitting at home in front of your television? Most of us remember where we were when the Red Sox defied expectations across the country because it was something that had been a long time coming. The curse was broken and the Red Sox went from cursed to first.

What was the curse? Most fans both young and old know about the curse. Some of us have seen the curse take a perfectly good game and turn it on its head in the final inning. Anyone with direct tv sports packages and an interest in history need only pull up the Red Sox games from the past and present to see the curse in action. The curse, of course, referred to the Curse of the Bambino, referring to when the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees in 1919.

Since then, it seemed like the Red Sox record would be forever mired in failure, but all that has changed. In 2004, we learned that the curse could be broken and the Red Sox have finally taken back the game.

Boston has a deep history when it comes to sports and sports teams. The area has the famed Boston Celtics, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Let’s take a look at some of the best pros to play for teams in Boston.

Let’s start with basketball. The Boston Celtics have had pros like Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, John Havlicek and of course Larry Bird. There was also Dave Cowens and Kevin McHale. All of these players are in the basketball Hall of Fame. They are not only some of the best pros to play in Boston, they are some of the best basketball players of all time.This/tag helps explain it more. There are also current stars like Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. They are three more players that will be in the Hall of Fame one day.

Ted Williams is one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game of baseball. He played for the Boston Red Sox. There was also Carlton Fisk, Jimmie Foxx and Wade Boggs. Cy Young Mannie Ramirez also played for the Red Sox.

The New England Patriots have one of the greatest quarterback of his generation in Tom Brady. He has three Super Bowl rings.

Ray Allen, member of the Boston Celtics, is the best Boston athlete today. Allen is a deadly assassin from three-point range, putting fear into the heart’s and soul of the opposing team. With even a slither of daylight, Allen can release his picture perfect shot in the blink of an eye. Once in the air, everybody believes it’s going through the net for three-points.

Additionally, Allen’s defense deserves much more credit than it receives. He played a pivotal role in guarding Kobe Bryant during the 2010 NBA Finals. He guards some of the elite two-guards around the league, showcasing a versatility not often seen in today’s game.

Allen is also an underrated passer, finding the open man, and moving the ball within the confines of an advanced offense. With the threat of shooting a three in his arsenal, Allen uses the opposing team’s pressure defense against them by finding the holes in their defense. He then throws a simple bounce pass to Garnett or Pierce, who can take the high percentage shot.

Allen is the best athlete in Boston due to his great shooting, his underrated defense, and his willingness to pass the ball to open teammates. He’s simply the best.

Boston sports fans are some of the most dedicated fans in all of sports. They seem to live and breathe their Boston sports teams. It doesn’t matter if it is football, basketball, baseball or hockey, Boston fans love to support their sports teams. But why should fans leave the comfort of their own homes to come out to watch the games live? Let’s take a look at why you should go to the games in person.

One of the best things about going to live games is you get to make a lot of noise. You can let the opponent know just how much you hate them. It’s a good feeling to know that you helped rattle the opposing kicker when he was trying to make a game tying or game winning field goal. What about the player on the opposing team that is trying to concentrate on shooting a free throw but is having a difficult time because of all the crowd noise? These are things you simply can’t enjoy from home. Going to the game and being there in person allows you to be part of the atmosphere and part of the action. And who knows, you could end up on television

When supporting your favorite Boston team, and wanting to attend games live, there are many places fans can purchase tickets from. The best sites are those where you have the option for fans to sell season tickets (if they are not able to attend a game), sites which offer discounted tickets (like stub hub or gator tickets), or sites which offer peer to peer selling (like ebay, amazon, or craigslist). Buying tickets can come at a premium, especially buying them from the league directly; so, when looking for the best tickets pricing, you might want to consider the internet as your first choice for the best seats in the house, and the best pricing for tickets.

Peer to peer sales sites are a great way to find tickets and save the most money. Fans are willing to sell tickets at discount, usually because they cannot attend the game, therefore, they would rather make some money, rather than lose out on the value of the tickets completely. So, these are the first sites you should always look into when searching for tickets. Not only can you get seats for way below face value, you can also find great seats (especially from season ticket holders).
